Primer Required?: Yes. Powerfloat Primer on bare concrete. Scuff sand previously coated concrete.
Recommended Number of Coats: Typically one is sufficient. Two may be necessary for high traffic areas.
Pot Life: 2 hours depending on temperature
Curing time: At 70°F, 16-24 hours for foot traffic and 72 hours for heavy traffic. Recoat after 16 hours.
Coverage: Approximately 180-200 square feet when applied by roller.

How to Apply

Surface Preparation: Concrete and Masonry
Concrete to be treated must be dry, at least four weeks old and free of any soft surface laitance, or contamination All loose material should be removed. Very smooth bare concrete or concrete with soft surface laitance should be mechanically ground or etched with Watco Cemtetch and the area thoroughly hosed off and allowed to dry. Grease or oil should be removed with Rust-Oleum Cleaner Degreaser and the area thoroughly hosed off and allowed to dry.

Surface Preparation: Steel and Metal
Remove oil, dirt, grease, and other chemical deposits with Rust-Oleum Professional Cleaner Degreaser or other suitable cleaner. Remove loose rust, white rust or deteriorated old coatings by hand or power tool cleaning or brush off blasting. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and allow to fully dry.

Mixing
Both the base and activator components are highly pigmented. Mix each component thoroughly to ensure any settled pigment is re-dispersed before combining the components together. Combine at a 1:1 ratio by volume in a container large enough to hold the total volume. Add aluminum Oxide 3lb bag and mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes. Power mixing is preferred. Do not mix more material than you plan to use within the listed pot life.

Application
Best results are obtained in warm conditions (minimum 60°F). On horizontal surfaces apply by medium pile type roller (not foam) in one coat. Apply product in an east and west direction and then finish in north and south direction.
