How to Apply

Surface Preparation

Concrete and brick
Concrete to be treated must be dry, at least four weeks old and free of any soft surface laitance, contaminants, and not subject to rising damp. All loose material should be removed. Very smooth bare concrete or concrete with soft surface laitance should be etched with Watco Cemtetch and the area thoroughly hosed off and allowed to dry. Grease or oil should be removed with Watco Bio-D (or similar degreaser) and the area thoroughly hosed off and allowed to dry. The very smooth previously painted surface should preferably be abraded to improve adhesion.

Steel
Remove loose or flaking material, rust and any previous coatings by wire brushing or disc grinding to achieve a bright surface. Grease or oil should be removed with Watco Bio-D and the metal then washed with water and allowed to dry. The coating should be carried out immediately providing flash rusting has not occurred. Resiflow Supergloss should only be laid at floor surface temperatures between 60°F and 95°F.

Mixing
Remove all components from the outer bucket. Pour the contents of the resin tin into the bucket. Using a mixing blade fitted to a slow speed electric drill, start to mix while slowly adding the curing agent. Scrape around the inside of both tins to ensure all the material has been removed. When thoroughly mixed, add the fine aggregate component steadily until uniform in color and consistency and continue blending for a further 5 minutes, ensuring that all material at the sides and base are thoroughly mixed. It is possible to hand mix small quantities, but great care must be taken.

Application
If appearance is critical, we recommend the application of a small trial area first.

Working in sections of approximately 16 feet, pour the mixed Resiflow Supergloss on to the prepared surface and spread evenly to the desired depth of 40-80mil thick using a Watco Resiflow Applicator or similar notched squeegee. Within approximately 5-10 minutes, apply a spiked roller to remove air bubbles. Repeat a few minutes later and thereafter until air bubbles cease. Your spike roller should extend into the previously applied section, but ensure that this has not hardened to such a degree that spiked rolling is not possible. If a knife cut in the wet surface heals quickly, the surface is still safe to roll. Spiked shoes (available from are recommended to enable operators to reach all areas of the uncured floor.
